Dar City Basketball Team delivered a commanding performance in the 2026 Road to BAL qualifiers, defeating Djabal Club 102-50. From the outset, Dar City established dominance, taking a 26-11 lead in the first quarter and extending it to 60-24 by halftime. Their offensive firepower remained consistent in the second half, outscoring Djabal in every quarter and showcasing depth across the roster. Djabal struggled to contain Dar City's pace and execution, managing only 13 points in each of the final three quarters. The 52-point blowout underscores Dar City's strength in the qualifiers as they make a strong statement in pursuit of a spot in the 2026 Basketball Africa League.
Raphiael Putney (207-F/C-1990, college: UMass) erupted for 55 points and Angok Deng (203-F-1992, college: Baylor) had 17. Zakaria Zaher replied with 14 points in a loss, whilst Ismail Tadjir notched 13.
