US Monastir - Petro de Luanda 84-95

Petro de Luanda clinched their Basketball Africa League semifinal appearance. They beat US Monastir in the quarterfinal clash in Tshwane tonight. Kendrick Ray (188-G-1994, college: KSU) came up with 20 points for the Angolan team.
Petro de Luanda sank 28 points in the first period to gain a 12-point lead. Monastir stopped the rot in the second frame. The Tunisian powerhouse pulled within 8 points at halftime. But Petro de Luanda responded with a 29-18 rally in the third term to clear off for good. Yanick Moreira (208-C-1991, college: SMU) tossed in 15 points for the Angolan side. Patrick Hardy (191-G) connected for 17 points, while Firas Lahyani had 15 points in the loss.
