Kadji Sports Academy opened the Group Phase with the win over Spintex Knights. The Ghanian side posted an 84-71 win at the Road to BAL West Division Elite 16. Eight teams have been divided into two groups of four teams each as two BAL tickets available for eight of them.
Simon Bileg II (205-C-1988) netted 16 points to pace all the winners whilst Makhtar Gueye (208-PF-1997, college: CBU) had 15. Frederick Asante (2002) replied with 18 points in a loss and James Amotoe (1998) added 16.
