David Michineau gets MVP of the Week award for Basketball Africa League

Experienced French David Michineau (191-PG-1994) had an amazing evening in the last round for Dar City Basketball Team and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 31-year old playmaker had the game-high 39 points adding eight rebounds and seven assists for Dar City in his team's victory, helping them to beat Thunder (#4, 1-2) 90-85. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Dar City was forced-out from the top positions in Basketball Africa League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Dar City will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Michineau had a remarkable 52.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Dar City, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Michineau has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 28.7ppg), rebounds (7th best: 6.7rpg), assists (2nd best: 8.3apg) and averages solid 60.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Dar City's star - young American forward Michael Foster Jr. (207-F-2003). Foster Jr. impressed basketball fans with 37 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Dar City Basketball Team lost that game 97-118 to Ahly Benghazi (1-2). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Foster Jr. is one of the most experienced players at Dar City and similarly like David Michineau has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was South Sudanese Jo Lual-Acuil (213-C-1994) of Al Alhy Benghazi (#5). Lual-Acuil scored 25 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). Despite Lual-Acuil's great performance the Ahly Benghazi lost 90-104 to P.Luanda (#2, 2-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Ahly Benghazi not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Lual-Acuil could try to bring Ahly Benghazi's a little bit higher in the standings. Lual-Acuil has individually a great season in Basketball Africa League. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.7ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 13.7rpg (3rd best).

10. Damion Baugh (193-G-2000) of Ahly Benghazi - 16 points, 6 rebounds and 18 assists
