Power forward Nkosinathi Sibanyoni (208-PF-1998) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Johannesburg Giants, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7 (Second Stage).
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 16 points and 18 rebounds, while his team crushed Blazers (#3, 1-3) with 21-point margin 92-71. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Giants to consolidate first place in the Basketball Africa League. Giants have a solid 6-1 record. Sibanyoni turned to be Giants' top player in his first season with the team. Nkosinathi Sibanyoni averages just after two games 15.5ppg and 15.0rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Elijah Mukelabai (190-F-1998) of Matero Magic. Mukelabai had a very good evening with 26 points and 7 rebounds. Bad luck as Matero Magic was edged by slightly higher-ranked Fer.Beira (#1, 6-2) 89-87. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Matero Magic still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 4-4 record is not bad at all. Mukelabai is one of the most experienced players at Matero Magic and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Nisre Zouzoua (188-G-1996, agency: Players Group) of league's second-best Dar City Basketball Team. Zouzoua scored 28 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was a key player of Dar City, leading his team to a 93-75 easy win against #4 ranked Bravehearts. Dar City started extremely well this Second Stage. They recorded 5 victories without losing a single game. Zouzoua turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Zouzoua has a great season in Basketball Africa League. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.4ppg (2nd best).
