American power forward Alex Mpoyo (203-F/C-1997, college: GSU) was the top scorer of the day in the world with the 32 points he had in the Basketball Africa League. Mpoyo graduated from Grambling State University in 2019. His excellent performance made his team APR beat the Al Ittihad Alexandria 123 to 90. He also grabbed 6 rebounds that game. Among many awards he was selected as the Afrobasket AllBasketball Africa League Honorable Mention in 2024. Mpoyo was also selected as the Rwandan All Star Game back in 2022.
