Devine Eke (203-PF-1996) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Rivers Royal Hoopers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 27-year old power forward had a double-double of 31 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Douanes (#3, 1-2) 77-68. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Rivers Hoopers to consolidate first place in the Basketball Africa League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Rivers Hoopers already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Eke had a remarkable 76.9% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Rivers Hoopers, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Radford University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Eke is in league's top in points (5th best: 21.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 10.7rpg) and averages solid 63.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Nigerien guard Harouna Abdoulaye (196-G-1992) of Association Sportive des Douanes Dakar. Abdoulaye impressed basketball fans with 35 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he led Douanes to another comfortable win 76-59 over US Monastir (#4, 0-3) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Douanes consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 1-2 record. Abdoulaye is one of the most experienced players at Douanes and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Obadiah Noel (193-G-1999) of second-ranked APR Basketball Club. Noel got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds . Despite Noel's great performance the APR lost 82-86 to #1 ranked Rivers Hoopers. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing APR needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Noel has a great season in Basketball Africa League. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.7ppg (best scorer).
