Association Sportive des Douanes advanced to the Final of the BAL 2023. They overcame Atletico Petroleos de Luanda 92-86. The team from Senegal started with a 20-19 run and added a 29-26 rally in the second frame. Moreover, they posted a 20-18 rally in the third quarter to bring the firs loss for the Angolan Powerhouse.
Jean-Jacques Boissy (183-PG-2000) top-scored for the winners with 28 points and Marcus Crawford had 26. Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-F-1988, college: Washington) followed them with 14 points in a win. Damian Hollis (203-F-1988, college: GWU) replied with 19 points in defeat, whilst Lukeny Goncalves poured in 17.
