Urunani rolled over City Oilers 64-58 in Group C of the 2022 Road To BAL qualifiers. The team from Burundi grabbed a 19-9 lead at the end of the first period, whilst the opponents won the second frame 14-9. Urunani needed 18 points in the third and then the last stanzas to seal the win.
Michael Kazunguzibwa (PG-1992) stepped up with 21 points, whilst Guibert Nijimbere (186-PG-1995) scored 15 points and team captain Landry Ndikumana (198-F-1995) netted 14. Oilers Germaine Roebuck (196-F, college: Calumet) Jr and forward Francis Azolide both scored 17 points apiece.
