Egypt - Angola 72-83

Angola recorded the second straight win at the 2027 World Cup African Qualifiers Group D. They overcame Egypt to remain perfect. Childe Dundao (169-PG-1998) stepped up with 29 points to lead the charge. Selton Miguel (193-G-2000, college: Maryland) and Bruno Fernando (207-C-1998, college: Maryland) had 14 points each for the winners.
Angola grabbed a 25-16 lead after the opening frame. Egypt stopped the rot in the second frame to pull within 8 points at halftime 38-46. They got closer in the third stanza. Egypt entered the fourth frame trailing by just 4 points. But Angola replied with a 21-14 push in the final term to seal the win.
Amr Gendy (193-G-1991) notched 18 points, while Ahmed Metwaly (177-PG-1997) tossed in 13 points in the loss.
