Division I Round 6 (Second Stage): Porto do Lobito beat Sporting in a derby game

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Luanda: Porto do Lobito (#4) and Sporting L. (#2). Porto do Lobito (15-5) won against visiting Sporting L. (17-4) 88-84. Porto do Lobito maintains fourth position with 15-5 record. Sporting at the other side keeps the second place with four games lost.
Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Luanda: P.Luanda (#1) and 1 De Agosto (#3). 1 De Agosto was smashed at home by 36 points 70-106 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of 1 De Agosto. P.Luanda (18-2) have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position. 1 De Agosto at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost.
Another interesting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Luanda: Interclube (#6) and P.Luanda B (#5). Interclube (11-9) smashed visiting P.Luanda B (10-10) by 23 points 108-85. Interclube moved-up to third place, which they share with 1 De Agosto B. P.Luanda B lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost.

Rest of the games of round 6 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Vila Clotilde crushed Kwanza in a road game 133-43. C.Ferroviario beat Interclube B at home 69-64. Vila Clotilde B won against ASA on the opponent's court 62-53. Akira unfortunately lost to 1 De Agosto B in a home game 96-100.

Group A

Another interesting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Luanda: Interclube (#6) and P.Luanda B (#5). Interclube (11-9) smashed visiting P.Luanda B (10-10) by 23 points 108-85. Interclube moved-up to third place, which they share with 1 De Agosto B. P.Luanda B lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost.

Group B

Kwanza - Vila Clotilde 43-133

There was no surprise in Luanda where bottom-ranked Kwanza (0-19) was crushed by second ranked Vila Clotilde (12-9) 133-43 on Saturday. Vila Clotilde maintains second position with 12-9 record having five points less than leader C.Ferroviario. Loser Kwanza still closes the standings with 19 games lost.

C.Ferroviario - Interclube B 69-64

No shocking result in a game when first ranked C.Ferroviario (13-7) defeated at home 5th ranked Interclube B (7-13) 69-64 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Newly promoted C.Ferroviario maintains first position with 13-7 record. Loser Interclube B dropped to the sixth place with 13 games lost.

ASA - Vila Clotilde B 53-62

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 8th ranked ASA's (5-15) home loss to seventh ranked Vila Clotilde B (7-12) 53-62 on Saturday. Vila Clotilde B moved-up to fifth place. ASA lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 15 games lost.

Akira - 1 De Agosto B 96-100

Very predictable result in Luanda where third ranked 1 De Agosto B (11-9) beat 9th ranked Akira (3-17) 100-96 on Saturday. 1 De Agosto B have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted 1 De Agosto B maintains third position with 11-9 record having seven points less than leader C.Ferroviario, which they share with Interclube. Loser Akira keeps the ninth place with 17 games lost.
