Division I Round 21 (Regular Season): Benguela keep a leadership position

The game had a very big importance for eleventh-ranked Benguela as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Benguela edged second-best Sporting in Luanda 83-81. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Sporting at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost.
The game in supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Porto do Lobito (13-2) played at the court of 7th ranked C.Ferroviario (9-6). Porto do Lobito smashed C.Ferroviario 93-62. Porto do Lobito have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 1 De Agosto and P.Luanda. Newly promoted C.Ferroviario dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with P.Luanda B.
The game in Clotilde was also quite interesting. Second ranked Sporting (14-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Vila Clotilde (8-8). Sporting defeated Vila Clotilde 91-81 on Saturday. Sporting keeps a position of league leader. Loser Vila Clotilde dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost.

Other games of round 21 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Benguela was defeated by C.Ferroviario in a road game 83-79. Benguela beat Vila Clotilde at home 86-82. P.Luanda B destroyed Benguela on the opponent's court 95-75. Benguela was outscored by Sporting in a home game 52-116. ASA recorded a loss to Benguela on the road 81-73. Sporting L. B was defeated by P.Luanda B on its own court 84-85. P.Luanda smashed Benguela in a road game 121-38. Benguela lost to Interclube at home 79-90.



C.Ferroviario - Benguela 83-79

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Benguela (5-10) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked C.Ferroviario (9-6) 83-79 on Tuesday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. C.Ferroviario moved-up to sixth place, which they share with P.Luanda B. Loser Benguela keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost.

Sporting L. - Benguela 81-83

Rather expected game when 11th ranked Benguela (5-10) was rolled over at home by ninth ranked P.Luanda B (9-6) 95-75 on Sunday. The victory was the third consecutive win for P.Luanda B. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with C.Ferroviario. Loser Benguela keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost.

Benguela - Sporting L. 52-116

Very predictable result when second ranked Sporting (14-2) outscored on the road 11th ranked Benguela (5-10) 116-52 on Friday. Sporting keeps a position of league leader. Loser Benguela keeps the eleventh place with ten games lost.
