P.Luanda inks Milton Valente

Defending champion Atletico Petroleos de Luanda (Division I) agreed terms with 27-year old international forward Milton Valente (198cm-1998) for the upcoming 2025-26 season. He was the second-best scorer at 1 De Agosto last season, where in 15 Division I games in Angola he had 12.4ppg, 7.5rpg, 1.7apg, and 2.0spg. He helped them to make it to the Angolan League final after they ended the regular season as the second-best team. In the 2024-25 season, he was named to the Afrobasket.com All-Angolan League All-Defensive Team and the Afrobasket.com All-Angolan League First Team. The previous (2023-24) season, he played at Maia Basket Clube (Proliga) in the Portuguese league.
Valente has been a member of the Angolan international program for some years. He has regularly played for the Angolan senior team since 2023 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2016.
Valente also represented Angola at the FIBA World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers two years ago. During this event he scored an average of 7 ppg and had 6.3 rpg.
He has played previously for Marinha.
Valente won the Angolan League championship title in 2018.
