1. de Agosto began Monday their participation in the best-of-three play- offs of the National Senior Women's Basketball Championship, called Liga Azule, with a victory over Interclube B, by 75-43, held at the Victorino Cunha pavilion, in Luanda, being the first game of the quarter-finals. With this victory, 1 de Agosto secured the advantage to qualify for the semi-finals. The player Sara Caetano (172-SG-2003), who was recently hired especially for the national competition, was the top scorer, with 22 points. The two teams will face each other again on Tuesday (20), at Pavilhao 28 de Fevereiro.
