Angolan Division I round 20 best performance: Antonio Mbando (by Hoops Agents)

Shooting guard Antonio Mbando (SG) had a very impressive game in the last round for Akiras Academy Luanda, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
The player had a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds, while his team edged out Sporting L. B (#7, 11-10) 94-92. Akira is placed at 13th position in Angolan Division I. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 19 games and recorded just three victories. It was one of impressive evenings for Mbando as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Antonio Mbando averages this season 8.9ppg and 7.8rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was another Akira's star - Estevao Welo (PG). Welo had a very good evening with a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds. It was enough for Akiras Academy Luanda to edge the higher-ranked Sporting L. B (#7, 11-10) 94-92. This victory allowed Akira to leave bottom place moving a little bit up to 13th position in the standings. 19 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Akira managed to get this year. Welo is well-known at Akira and together with Antonio Mbando are proven team's leaders.

Third on the list of top players last round was Felix Correia (SF) of Sporting Clube de Luanda 2nd team (#7). Correia scored 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Despite Correia's great performance the Sporting L. B lost 92-94 to the lower-ranked Akira (#13, 3-19). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Correia has a very solid season. In 19 games in Angola he scored 11.0ppg. He also has 4.3rpg and a FGP of 56.9%.

10. Joseney Joaquim (200-F-1992) of CPPL - 12 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
