Angolan Division I round 15 best performance: Carlos Sanda

Shooting guard Carlos Sanda (SG) had a very impressive game in the last round for Atletico Sport Aviation Luanda, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
The player had a double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds, while his team outclassed Kwanza (#14, 2-14) with 28-point margin 106-78. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. ASA maintains the 9th position in Angolan Division I. ASA is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-10 record. Sanda turned to be ASA's top player in his first season with the team. Carlos Sanda has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 9.1rpg).

The second best player in last round's games was young Josue Bartolomeu (198-F-2000) of Sporting Clube de Luanda 2nd team. Bartolomeu had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 17 rebounds. It was enough for Sporting L. B to edge slightly lower-ranked ASA (#9, 6-10) 99-93. This victory allowed Sporting L. B to move up to 7th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 7-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Bartolomeu is a newcomer at Sporting L. B, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.8ppg (#6). He also registered 12.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Andre Lama (SF) of FC Vila Clotilde (#5). Lama scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Vila Clotilde, leading his team to a 90-68 easy win against the lower-ranked Akira (#13, 2-14). Vila Clotilde needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 6 lost games. Lama has a very solid season. In 14 games in Angola he scored 6.1ppg. He also has 7.3rpg and a FGP of 50.7%.
