Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Luanda: Sporting L. (#3) and CPPL (#4). CPPL was defeated at home 87-91 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Sporting forced 28 CPPL turnovers. Forward Helder Fernandes stepped up and scored 29 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners and Antonio Ndabililwa chipped in 20 points and 11 rebounds. Sporting L.'s coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side forward Joseney Joaquim (200-1992) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Sporting (11-2) have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Newly promoted Sporting maintains third place having four points less than leader P.Luanda. CPPL at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost.

Sporting L. was crushed at home by 30 points 72-102 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Sporting L.. International forward Aboubacar Gakou (201-1997) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and Cleusio Castro accounted for 13 points and 12 rebounds. The former international point guard Tarcio Domingos (194-1998) came up with 14 points and 6 rebounds for Sporting in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for P.Luanda. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-0 record. Newly promoted Sporting keeps the third position with two games lost.

Raimer Mercedes fired 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. Jose Nseke produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Interclube maintains second place with 12-3 record having just one point less than leader P.Luanda. Loser P.Luanda B keeps the seventh position with eight games lost.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 13: Interclube B lost to Akira on the opponent's court 78-87. 1 De Agosto managed to outperform CPPL in a home game 92-86. Vila Clotilde rolled over Benguela on the road 122-79. ASA defeated Akira on its own court 71-68. 1 De Agosto beat P.Luanda B in Luanda 93-89. P.Luanda destroyed Interclube at home 98-73.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 14 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists by Childe Dundao of P.Luanda.



Akira - Interclube B 87-78

There was an upset in Luanda where higher ranked Interclube B (3-9) was defeated by bottom-ranked Akira (1-13) 87-78 on Friday. Akira outrebounded Interclube B 39-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Forward Euclides Chipilika fired 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Marcelo Vidal chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Akira players scored in double figures. Center Franciscoo Gomes (187-2000) produced 20 points and guard Daniel Lubambeke added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Akira maintains fourteenth place with 1-13 record. It was Interclube B's third loss in a row. They keep the tenth position with nine games lost.
