Toronto Raptors cut 26-year old Angolan international 6-10 center Bruno Fernando (college: Maryland). In 17 NBA games he averaged 3.4ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.1apg this season.
The last season season he played at Skyhawks.
In 2019 he was drafted by Philadelphia 76ers in second round (34th overall). He graduated from University of Maryland and it is his sixth season in pro basketball.
He has been also a member of the Angolan international program for some years. Fernando has regularly played for the Angolan senior team since 2016 and previously for the Under 19 National Team back in 2017.
He also represented Angola at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in Valencia (Spain) last year. During this event he scored an average of 12 points per game and had 10 rebounds per game.
Fernando has played previously for five other NBA teams: Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets, Maine Celtics and Boston Celtics.
Among many awards his team made it to the NBA Semifinals in 2021. He was voted to Big Ten All-Defensive Team back in 2019 at his college time.
