Bernardo's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Guard Guilherme Bernardo (G) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Grupo Desportivo Interclube de Luanda and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Vila Clotilde (#4, 5-4) 89-84. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Interclube to consolidate first place in the Angolan league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Interclube already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Bernardo had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. He turned to be Interclube's top player in his first season with the team. Guilherme Bernardo averages this season 14.0ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Adilson Ramos (179-PG-1989) of Clube Desportivo Kwanza Luanda. He is a guard in his first season at Kwanza. In the last game Ramos recorded an impressive 27 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Kwanza lost that game 81-93 to slightly lower-ranked CPPL (#11, 1-0). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Kwanza managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 10th place. 6 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Kwanza managed to get this year. Ramos is a newcomer at Kwanza and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.4ppg (#2). He also registered 6.7 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Kwanza's star - guard Danilson Jacinto (PG). Jacinto scored 23 points and passed 5 assists. Despite Jacinto's great performance the Clube Desportivo Kwanza Luanda lost 81-93 to slightly lower-ranked CPPL (#11, 1-0). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Kwanza can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-6 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Jacinto has individually a great season in Angola. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.9ppg (4th best) and assists with 4.4apg (7th best).
