The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Benguela (1-1) on the court of fourth ranked Vila Clotilde on Friday night. Visitors were rolled over by Vila Clotilde 91-65. Vila Clotilde dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Benguela's 30. Vila Clotilde forced 35 Benguela turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Benguela's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Vila Clotilde made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Hilario Tito who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 7 steals. Kenny Biongo contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Genilson Lucombo answered with 9 points and 6 assists for Benguela. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vila Clotilde maintains fourth place with 5-4 record. Benguela at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with one game lost.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Luanda: Sporting L. B (#7) and Interclube B (#8). Sporting L. B (4-4) won against visiting Interclube B (2-5) 83-68. It was a great evening for Felix Correia who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Josue Bartolomeu helped adding 21 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side Eduardo Luis responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sporting L. B moved-up to sixth place. Interclube B lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with five games lost.
Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Luanda: 1 De Agosto (#5) and Sporting L. B (#7). 1 De Agosto (4-2) crushed visiting Sporting L. B (4-4) by 22 points 86-64. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sporting L. B. It was an exceptional evening for Elcane Paca who led the winners and scored 16 points and 8 assists. Josue Bartolomeu came up with 11 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals for Sporting L. B in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. 1 De Agosto maintains fifth place with 4-2 record. Newly promoted Sporting L. B dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. 1 De Agosto's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Luanda to the arena P.Luanda.

Other games in round 7 were not that significant. Winless Akira was beaten by Kwanza on the road 86-78. Winless Akira lost to Benguela on its own court 70-76. Interclube outscored Vila Clotilde B in Luanda 99-55. Sporting rolled over Kwanza at home 138-83. P.Luanda crushed P.Luanda B on the opponent's court 113-82. Interclube B was beaten by ASA in a home game 75-80.
The most impressive performance of 7th round was 23 points and 6 rebounds by Jose Kabasu of ASA.



Sporting L. B - Interclube B 83-68

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Luanda: Sporting L. B (#7) and Interclube B (#8). Sporting L. B (4-4) won against visiting Interclube B (2-5) 83-68. Sporting L. B forced 24 Interclube B turnovers. It was a great evening for Felix Correia who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). It was an exceptional evening for point guard Adilson Ramos (179-1989) who led the winners and scored 30 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Danilson Jacinto accounted for 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Antonio Mbando came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Estevao Welo added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Akira in the defeat.
