Al Riyadi top Petro De Luanda for first win in Singapore

Petro de Luanda - Al Riyadi 75-80

Al Riyadi registered the first win at the FIBA Intercontinental Cup in Singapore. They beat Petro de Luanda to earn the place in the consolation final. Manny Harris (197-SG-1989, college: Michigan, agency: Slash Sports) came up with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners.
Riyadi sank 23 points in the first period to eke out a 2-point lead. Petro de Luanda erased the deficit in the second term taking a 35-34 halftime advantage. Riyadi though responded with a 28-16 run in the third term to surge ahead. Petro de Luanda knocked down 24 points in the final period but came up short of win at the end. Elmedin Kikanovic (211-C-1988) and Hayk Gyokchyan (203-F-1990, college: F&M) posted 15 points each for Al Riyadi. Aboubacar Gakou (201-F-1997) answered with 20 points for Petro de Luanda.
