Aix-Maurienne inks Gerson Goncalves, ex P.Luanda

Gerson Goncalves

Aix-Maurienne Savoie Basket (ProB) signed 28-year old Angolan international swingman Gerson Goncalves (193cm-80kg-1996) for the upcoming 2024-25 season. He has played for the last ten years at P.Luanda in the Angolan Division I. In 27 games, he had 13.6ppg, 4.7rpg, 5.7apg, and 1.6spg last season. He helped them to win the league title four times. In 2023-24, he was voted Afrobasket.com All-Angolan League Guard of the Year and named to Afrobasket.com All-Angolan League First Team.
Goncalves has been a member of the Angolan international program for some years. He has regularly played for the Angolan senior team since 2016 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2014.
Goncalves also represented Angola at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in Valencia (Spain) this year. During this event he scored an average of 9 ppg and had 3 rpg.
He's a very experienced player.
