Markeith Cummings (ex P.Luanda) joins Shiga L-Stars

Shiga Lakestars (B2 League) have agreed to terms with experienced 35-year-old American small forward Markeith Cummings (198cm-109kg-1988, college: KSU) for the new 2024-25 season. He played last season at P.Luanda in the Angolan Division I, where in 7 games he averaged 11.4ppg, 5.7rpg, 2.1apg, and 1.0spg, helping them win the league title. The previous (2023) summer, he played at Abejas (LNBP) in the Mexican league.
In 2013, he was drafted by the Bakersfield Jam (D-League) in the third round (44th overall).
Cummings graduated from KSU and it will be his 12th season in pro hoops.
He is a quite experienced player. Cummings' career allowed him to visit five different continents, while he played in twelve different countries. Cummings tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in France (Pau Lacq Orthez), Greece (Panionios), Hungary (Szolnok), Korea (Samsung Thunders), Lebanon (Champville), Mexico, Philippines (Terrafirma Dyip), Poland (Twarde Pierniki), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce), Japan (Dolphins and Levanga Hokkaido Sapporo), Egypt (Al Ahly Cairo) and ECBL (C Port Trojans). It's very possible he may end his playing career at Shiga L-Stars.
