Casademont Zaragoza (Liga Endesa) strengthened their roster with the addition of 25-year-old Angolan international 208cm center Jilson Bango for the 2024-25 season. He has played for the last two years at Basketball Loewen Braunschweig in the German BBL league. In 34 games, he recorded 13.5ppg, 7.1rpg, 1.0apg, and 1.6bpg last season. It was a good year as he was voted League Player of the Week twice.
He has been a member of the Angolan international program for some years. Bango has been regularly called to the Angolan senior team since 2019 and previously for the Under 19 National Team back in 2017.
He has played previously professionally in Angola, between 1 De Agosto and Marinha.
Between many awards, his team made it to the Angolan Cup final in 2022. Bango received the Afrobasket.com All-Angolan League Player of the Year award in 2022.
