Petro de Luanda conquer fifth straight Division I title

Petroleos Luanda clinched Division I title. They rallied past Interclube on the road to lift the 17th National League trophy. P.Luanda looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Childe Dundao (169-1998) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 assists. He was named the MVP. International forward Aboubacar Gakou (201-1997) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four P.Luanda players scored in double figures. The former international center Jonatao Ndjungu (203-1998) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and the former international forward Hermenegildo Santos (191-1990) added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for Interclube. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
