International swingman Gerson Goncalves (193-1996) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. International point guard Childe Dundao (169-1998) contributed with 18 points for the winners. P.Luanda's coach Jose Neto used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The former international Mutau Fonseca (202-1989) replied with 24 points and 8 rebounds and international point guard Tarcio Domingos (194-1998) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for CPPL. Four P.Luanda and five CPPL players scored in double figures.

The former international forward Wilson Ambrosio (199-1999) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Elmer Felix (180-1989) chipped in 8 points and 7 assists during the contest. The former international guard Elcane Paca (179-2001) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds and international forward Bamba Cisse (199-2002) scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
