Angola posted second straight win in Monastir at the 2025 AfroBasket Qualifiers. They overcame Kenya 88-58 in Day 2 for a 2-0 record. Angola took a 22-12 lead at the start and nailed another 22 points in the second frame. Moreover the favorites netted a 20-15 and 24-10 runs in the second half to seal the win.
Jilson Bango (208-C-1999) stepped up with 19 points and Childe Dundao (169-PG-1998) poured in 18. Gerson Goncalves (193-F/G-1996) notched 13, whilst Aboubacar Gakou (201-F-1997) had 11. Derrick Ogechi (190-G-1998, college: Midwestern St.) and Eugene Adera (203-SG-1997) replied with 12 points apiece in the losing effort.
