Angola - Guinea 76:70

Angola edged Guinea in Monastir at the start of the 2025 AfroBasket Qualifiers. They used a strong last period to seal a 76-70 thrilling win. It was Guinea to take a 9-8 defensive lead after 10 minutes of the game and added 24-21 and 22-15 runs to take a comfortable 11 points lead with 10 minutes to go. Angola on the other side nailed 32 points in the last stanza to win the game.
Jilson Bango (208-C-1999) stepped up with 24 points and Aboubacar Gakou (201-F-1997) had 20. Childe Dundao (169-PG-1998) poured in12, whilst Gerson Goncalves (193-F/G-1996) added 10. Shannon Evans II (185-PG-1994, college: Arizona St.) replied with 26 points in a loss, whilst Cheick Conde notched 25.
