Bottom-ranked Kwanza (0-22) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 22th consecutive match to eleventh ranked Akira (3-16) 118-78 on Tuesday evening. Akira forced 33 Kwanza turnovers. Strangely Kwanza outrebounded Akira 41-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Kwanza's players. Forward Euclides Chipilika scored 27 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Aristue Dala chipped in 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Akira's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side center Agostinho Alberto (-2003) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Akira maintains eleventh position with 3-16 record. Kwanza at the other side still closes the standings.
Tenth-ranked Benguela (4-16) gave a tough game to seventh ranked Interclube B (9-11) in Luanda. Interclube B managed to secure only three-point victory 62-59. However their fans expected easier game. The former international Keven Albino (200-1998) notched 3 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and Edgar Simao supported him with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 12 points and 8 rebounds by center Afonso Diogo did not help to save the game for Benguela. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Interclube B moved-up to sixth place. Benguela lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 16 games lost.

Benguela - Interclube 63-114

Very expected game when 10th ranked Benguela (4-16) was crushed at home by third ranked Interclube (18-5) 114-63 on Thursday. Interclube dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Benguela's 26. Interclube forced 30 Benguela turnovers and outrebounded them 44-26 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Interclube looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists.
