Angolan Division I round 21 best performance: Keven Albino (by Hoops Agents)

International Power forward Keven Albino (200-PF-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for Grupo Desportivo Interclube de Luanda, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds, while his team crushed Jesus Cristo (#8, 8-13) with 20-point margin 87-67. Interclube is placed at 7th position in Angolan Division I. Interclube is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-11 record. In the team's last game Albino had a remarkable 56.3% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Interclube and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Keven Albino averages this season 10.4ppg and 10.0rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was Ernesto Mungue (C) of FC Vila Clotilde. Mungue had a very good evening with a double-double of 15 points and 19 rebounds. Of course he led Vila Clotilde to another comfortable win outscoring Kwanza (#12, 0-21) 91-56. Vila Clotilde's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 14-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Mungue is a newcomer at Vila Clotilde and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third on the list of top players last round was international guard Joaquim Pedro (176-PG-1995) of league's top team Atletico Petroleos de Luanda. Pedro scored 15 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. He was a key player of P.Luanda, leading his team to a 129-39 easy win against the lower-ranked Benguela (#10, 4-14). Many experts and fans count P.Luanda as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 21 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Pedro has a very solid season. In 16 games in Angola he scored 9.9ppg. He also has 7.0rpg and a FGP of 70.3%.
