Edmilson Ingles claims Angolan Division I Hoops Agents weekly honour

Talented Edmilson Ingles (180-F-2003) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best Desportivo 1. De Agosto Luanda and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 20-year old forward had a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Kwanza (#12, 0-15) with 61-point margin 119-58. 1 De Agosto maintains the 2nd position in Angolan Division I. They are still close to the very top. 1 De Agosto would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 14-2 record. In the team's last game Ingles had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at 1 De Agosto, through which he has constantly improved. Edmilson Ingles averages this season 9.0ppg and 5.3rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Joseney Joaquim (200-F-1992) of Jesus Cristo. Joaquim impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 28 points and 18 rebounds. Bad luck as Jesus Cristo lost that game 100-116 to the higher-ranked Vila Clotilde (#3, 12-4). The third best performed player last round was Valdemar Avelino (176-SG-2003) of FC Vila Clotilde (#3). Avelino got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds and five assists. He was a key player of Vila Clotilde, leading his team to a 97-93 win against the lower-ranked Akira (#11, 2-11). Vila Clotilde needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 4 lost games. Avelino has a great season in Angola. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.6ppg (8th best).
