Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Luanda: Interclube (#4) and Interclube B (#6). Interclube B was crushed at home by 35 points 68-103 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Interclube B. They also forced 29 Interclube B turnovers and had a 34-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Geovani Kibinga who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds. The former international forward Wilson Ambrosio (199-1999) contributed with 11 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Daniel Lubambeke answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for Interclube B. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Interclube (11-3) moved-up to third place. Interclube B at the other side dropped to the seventh position with six games lost.
An interesting game for P.Luanda (13-1) which played road game in Clotilde against 3rd placed Vila Clotilde (10-4). First ranked P.Luanda managed to get a 7-point victory 82-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Vila Clotilde. The former international center Yanick Moreira (208-1991, college: SMU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and Aboubacar Gakou chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side Valdemar Avelino (176-2003) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. P.Luanda have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-1 record. Vila Clotilde at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost.
Division I top team - P.Luanda (13-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Jesus Cristo (7-6) 119-45. Aboubacar Gakou nailed a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds for the winning side. P.Luanda's coach Jose Neto felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Natercio Cruz came up with 11 points and 4 assists for Jesus Cristo in the defeat. The victory was the twelfth consecutive win for P.Luanda. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-1 record. Loser Jesus Cristo dropped to the sixth position with six games lost.

Other games in round 13 were not that significant. 1 De Agosto smashed Benguela on the road 94-59. 1 De Agosto destroyed Akira on its own court 118-64. CPPL unfortunately lost to Interclube in Luanda 70-85. P.Luanda B managed to beat Interclube B at home 79-75. Winless Kwanza was defeated by Akira on the opponent's court 111-95. Winless Kwanza was smashed by P.Luanda B in a home game 90-113. ASA was destroyed by Vila Clotilde on the road 91-70. CPPL unfortunately lost to 1 De Agosto on its own court 84-91. 1 De Agosto rolled over ASA in Luanda 102-81. Jesus Cristo defeated Benguela at home 87-81.
The most impressive performance of 13th round was 20 points and 9 rebounds by Mauro Mauricio of Jesus Cristo.




Benguela - 1 De Agosto 59-94

No shocking result in a game when second ranked 1 De Agosto (12-2) crushed on the road 9th ranked Benguela (3-9) 94-59 on Monday. 1 De Agosto dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Benguela's 26. 1 De Agosto forced 23 Benguela turnovers and outrebounded them 54-33 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. International forward Bamba Cisse (199-2002) nailed 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Macaxi Braz accounted for 10 points and 10 rebounds. Five 1 De Agosto players scored in double figures. Elvis Coche came up with 18 points and Manuel Ngola added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Benguela in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Interclube's (11-3) home victory over 5th ranked CPPL (7-5) in Luanda 85-70 on Friday. Interclube looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by CPPL's players. The former international center Valdelicio Joaquim (208-1990, college: Hawaii) nailed 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and Guilherme Monteiro accounted for 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Joaquim is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Interclube players scored in double figures.
