Angolan Division I round 13 best performance: Alexandre Jungo

International Forward Alexandre Jungo (201-F-1997) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for FC Vila Clotilde, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 14 rebounds, while his team crushed ASA (#11, 2-12) with 21-point margin 91-70. Thanks to this victory Vila Clotilde moved-up to the 4th position in Angolan Division I. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Vila Clotilde will need more victories to improve their 10-4 record. In the team's last game Jungo had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Vila Clotilde's top player in his first season with the team. Alexandre Jungo averages this season 13.6ppg and 7.9rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was another Vila Clotilde's star - young Valdemar Avelino (176-SG-2003). Avelino had a very good evening with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course together with Jungo he helped FC Vila Clotilde with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked ASA (#11, 2-12) 91-70. Despite this victory Vila Clotilde slide down in the standings to 4th position. His team's 10-4 record is not bad at all. Avelino is one of the most experienced players at Vila Clotilde and similarly like Alexandre Jungo has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Macaxi Braz of league's second-best Desportivo 1. De Agosto Luanda. Braz scored 19 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of 1 De Agosto, leading his team to a 118-64 easy win against the lower-ranked Akira (#10, 2-9). 1 De Agosto is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 12-2 record is not that bad... Braz has a great season in Angola. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.2rpg (4th best).
