Grindavik adds Julio De Assis to their roster

U.M.F. Grindavik (Subway League) has added 31-year-old Spanish-Angolan-Spaniard forward Julio De Assis (203cm-1992) to their roster. Julio was the best rebounder at Breidablik last season, where he had impressive stats in 20 Subway League games in Iceland: 15.6ppg, 7.8rpg, 1.8apg, and 1.3bpg. He had a great season and was named to Eurobasket.com All-Icelandic League Honorable Mention. In the previous (2021-22) season, he played at Club Ourense Baloncesto (LEB Silver) in the Spanish league. He also played for Vestri earlier that season.
He has previously played professionally in Spain for teams such as Grupo Ureta Tizona Burgos, Pas Pielagos, Menorca, Zamora, and Castello. He has also played for Cantabria, Moron, Estudio, Teguise, and Tau Castello's 2nd team.
