Ghaz Al-Shamal signs Italee Lucas, ex Inter-Clube

Ghaz Al-Shamal (1 League) signed experienced 34-year old American (has also Angolan passport) guard Italee Lucas (172cm-1989, college: UNC). She just played at Inter-Clube in Angolan D1 league. In three games she had 13.0ppg, 3.0rpg, 6.3apg and 1.0spg this season. She also played for Qurain in Kuwaiti league.
In 2011 she was drafted by Tulsa Shock (WNBA) in second round (21st overall).

The former University of North Carolina standout is in her 13th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball. She has been regularly called to the Angolan Senior National Team since 2017.

She is quite experienced player. She has played in six different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America). She has played previously professionally in Hungary (Miskolc), Israel (Hertzliya), Kuwait, Romania (Satu Mare), Spain (Hondarribia-Irun, IDK Eustotren and Girona) and Egypt (Al Ahly and Heliopolis). Lucas' team made it to the FIBA African Women Basketball League Semifinals in 2023.
