Aboubacar Gakou claims Angolan Division I Hoops Agents weekly honour

International Forward Aboubacar Gakou (201-F-1997) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Atletico Petroleos de Luanda and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 26-year old forward had the game-high 30 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for P.Luanda in his team's victory, helping them to outclass CPPL (#5, 5-3) with 37-point margin 108-71. It allowed P.Luanda to jump to the first place in the Angolan Division I. P.Luanda have a solid 8-1 record. In the team's last game Gakou had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He has many years of experience at P.Luanda, through which he has constantly improved. Gakou has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 15.3ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 11.6rpg) and averages solid 74.4% FGP and 53.6% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international center Miguel Maconda (200-C-1993) of Jesus Cristo. Maconda impressed basketball fans with 24 points and 4 assists. Bad luck as Jesus Cristo lost that game 95-106 to the higher-ranked Interclube (#3, 7-2).
