REG Women BBC opened Day 2 with a win over Inter Clube at the Africa Women Basketball League. They posted a 96-89 win for a 2-0 record. Both teams nailed 27 points each in the first quarter, whilst REG Women BBC nailed 33 points in the second frame to take a 14-point lead at the halftime. Inter Clube replied with two narrow wins in the second half to reduce the gap.
Tiffany Mitchell (175-PG-1994, college: S.Carolina) erupted with 34 points and Destiney Philoxy (170-G-2000, college: UMass) nailed 22. Nia Clouden notched 16, whilst Betty Kalanga (188-F/C-1987) poured in 15. Ingvild Mucauro (176-F-1992) answered with 23 points, while Cristina Matiquite (191-C-1992) and Italee Lucas (172-G-1989, college: UNC) had 22 each.
