Division I Round 7 (Regular Season): P.Luanda B is defeated by 1 De Agosto in a derby game

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Luanda: 1 De Agosto (#2) and P.Luanda B (#4). P.Luanda B was crushed at home by 24 points 88-112 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. 1 De Agosto forced 29 P.Luanda B turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. It was a great evening for Elcane Paca who led his team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!). Gelson Varandas helped adding 18 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side forward Francisco Rosario (180-2003) responded with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. 1 De Agosto have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 4-1 record having just three points less than leader Interclube. P.Luanda B lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with three games lost.
The game in Luanda was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Vila Clotilde (2-2) played at the court of 6th ranked Jlonda Acad. (1-5). Vila Clotilde managed to secure a 5-point victory 89-84. It was an exceptional evening for Ernesto Mungue who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Andre Lama accounted for 13 points and 12 rebounds. Vila Clotilde's coach used entire bench in such tough game. The former international point guard Ricardo Juscelino (188-1999) came up with 20 points and 5 assists for Jlonda Acad. in the defeat. Vila Clotilde maintains third place with 2-2 record having six points less than leader Interclube. Newly promoted Jlonda Acad. keeps the sixth position with five games lost.

It was an exceptional evening for Ernesto Mungue who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Andre Lama accounted for 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Vila Clotilde's coach used entire bench in such tough game.
