1 de Agosto win Angola Cup

1 de Agosto senior females basketball team defeated Interclube 74-72 on Monday, thus winning the Angola League Cup in basketball. 1 de Agosto led the first quarter by 16-19 in a game played in the Cidadela pavilion, in Luanda. Although the opponents entered better offensively in the second quarter, 1 de Agosto managed to lead by halftime (42-34). Interclube levelled the match with three minutes remaining for the the end of the third quarter 46-46 to further lead by 52-46, with the third quarter finishing in a tie of 53 points. 1 de Agosto have lifted the trophy 15 times, followed by Interclube with 8 trophies achieved in the Angolan senior women's basketball league cup.
