Here is the weekly review of the top performing Angolan players, who play currently abroad.
#1. This week's number one is former international center
Bruno Fernando (208-1998, college:
Maryland, currently plays in NBA). He could not help the
Houston Rockets (17-51) in their last game. Despite Fernando's very good performance the Houston Rockets (17-51) lost
100-113 on the road to the Dallas Mavericks.
He had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 11 rebounds. Fernando also added 2 blocks in 23 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. This year Fernando averages: 6.0ppg, 3.8rpg, 2FGP: 76.5%(13-17) in five games he played so far.
He played for the Angolan senior national team year ago.
#2. Second place goes to former international forward
Silvio de Sousa (206-1998, currently plays college basketball in the States). de Sousa led
Chattanooga to a 1-point victory against the Furman University (14-7)
64-63 in the NCAA last Monday.
He recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 14 rebounds.
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has a very solid 17-4 conference record this season.
de Sousa's team will play only one more game in the NCAA Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
de Sousa has relatively good stats this season: 11.1ppg, 7.0rpg, 1.1bpg, 2FGP: 60.4%(119-197), 3FGP: 26.3% and FT: 66.7%.
He played for the Angolan national team in 21.
#3. The Angolan player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced former international guard
Jaques Conceicao (190-1989, currently plays in Portugal). Conceicao managed to help S.C. Lusitania EXPERT in a victory against the closely-ranked Povoa (8-13)
71-57 in the Portuguese LPB on Sunday night.
He scored 5 points, had 8 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 37 minutes.
S.C. Lusitania EXPERT (10-8) is placed fifth in the LPB.
There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
This year Conceicao's overall stats are: 4.4ppg, 2.6rpg, 1.4apg, 2FGP: 46.3%, 3FGP: 20.6% and FT: 67.7% in 18 games.

#4. Guard
Gil Silva (185-2000, currently plays in Portugal) was not able to help
Academia (2-18) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance the eighth-placed Academia (2-18) was defeated
77-66 in Sao Joao by the lower-ranked Sanjoanense (#8) in the Places 9-16 group.
Silva was the second best scorer with 16 points. He also added 5 steals.
There are only two games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be important.
Silva's total stats this season are: 4.5ppg, 2.9rpg and 1.3spg.
He has a dual citizenship: Angolan and Portuguese.

#5. Former international guard
Selton Miguel (193-2000, currently studies in the States) was not able to secure a victory for the
Kansas St. (6-12) in their game against the West Virginia University (4-14) in the NCAA.
Miguel scored 5 points.
The Kansas St. was defeated
73-67 in Morgantown by the West Virginia University.
The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA.
Miguel's total stats this season are: 7.2ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.5apg.

#6. Forward
Julio De Assis (203-1992, agency:
Duran International, currently plays in Spain) contributed to
Ourense's victory against the 15th-ranked Burgos (7-15)
76-71 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) in Wednesday night's game.
De Assis scored only 2 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 9 minutes on the court.
Club Ourense Baloncesto (15-5) is placed first in West group.
This year De Assis' total stats are: 3.0ppg and 5.7rpg in six games.
He is a former international player as he played for the Angolan senior team year ago.
#7. Former international forward
Rifen Miguel (203-1999, is currently at the American university) couldn't help the
Troy (11-7) in their game against the University Louisiana at Lafayette (11-10) in the NCAA. He cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones.
Miguel scored only 2 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 12 minutes.
The Troy lost
57-66 in Lafayette to the University Louisiana at.
The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA.

Joshua Kashila (190, currently plays in NAIA) contributed to a
SW Assemblies of God University's victory against the Montana Technological University (12-2)
77-63 in the NAIA last Saturday.
He scored 10 points in 27 minutes.
The SW Assemblies of God University has a solid 16-6 record this season.
Kashila's team will play only one more game in the NAIA National Tournament Round 2.
Kashila has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.6ppg, 6.1rpg, 3.7apg and 1.4spg in 28 games.

The list of other players, who all have Angolan passport but never been selected to any of Angolan national teams: #1. Eduardo Andre (208-C-2001, currently plays college basketball in the States) managed to help University of Nebraska in a 1-point victory against the University of Wisconsin (15-5)
74-73 in the NCAA last Sunday.
He scored only 4 points and blocked 2 shots in 14 minutes.
The University of Nebraska has rather weak 4-16 conference record this season.
The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA.
This year Andre's total stats are: 3.1ppg and 3.2rpg in 30 games he played so far.
He has a dual citizenship: Angolan and British.
#2. Jose Tonet (C-1999, currently plays in Portugal) contributed to an easy victory against the third-ranked NB Queluz (10-10) crushing them
98-76 in the Portuguese Proliga (second division) last Saturday.
Tonet scored only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
Sampaense Basket (8-13) is placed sixth in Places 1-8 group.
His team will play only one more game in the Second Stage. And that game will be critical.
Tonet has averaged so far 4.7ppg and 5.0rpg.
#3. Fabio Galiano (202-PF-1997, currently plays in Germany) led
Neustadt TSV to an easy victory against the fifth-ranked Wolfenbuettel (3-3) crushing them
119-98 in the German Regionalliga (fourth division) in Saturday night's game.
Galiano scored 17 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists.
TSV Neustadt temps Shooters (15-9) is placed fourth in North group.
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season.
Galiano has averaged so far 7.9ppg and 4.8rpg.
