Petro de Luanda keeps Morais for another season

Defending champion Atletico Petroleos de Luanda (Division I) re-signed experienced 34-year old Angolan international guard Carlos Morais (200-85, agency: Duran International). He has a double citizenship as he also holds Portuguese passport. Morais played there last season. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. They also played in the Cup final.
The previous (18-19) season Morais played at Soundreef Mens Sana 1871 Siena (Serie A2) in Italian league where in 21 games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.4ppg, 5.7rpg and 3.1apg.
Morais has been also a member of Angolan international program for some years. He has regularly played for Angolan senior team since 2004 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2004.
Morais represented Angola at the Afrobasket Championships three years ago. His stats at that event were 4 games: 12.0ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.3apg, 1.5spg, FGP: 42.9%, 3PT: 25.8%, FT: 85.7%.
Morais is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Africa and of course North America). Morais has played previously professionally also in USA, Portugal (Benfica) and NBA (Toronto Raptors).
Among many awards Morais won Angolan League championship title in 2007, 2011, 2014 and 2019. He received also Eurobasket.com All-Portuguese League Player of the Year award and Eurobasket.com All-Portuguese League Import Player of the Year award back in 2017.
