Here is the weekly review of the top performing Angolan players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Yanick Moreira (211-91, agency: BeoBasket, college: SMU, currently plays in Basketball Champions League). He was the major contributor in a 3-point Peristeri GS's victory against the closely-ranked Brose Baskets (6-7) 78-75 in the Basketball Champions League in Tuesday night's game. Moreira recorded 20 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks in 29 minutes on the court. Peristeri GS Athens (8-5) is placed fourth in the Basketball Champions League. His team will play only one more game in the Basketball Champions League Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Moreira has relatively good stats this year: 11.8ppg, 5.6rpg, 1.2bpg, 2FGP: 53.8% and FT: 55.6% in 10 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Angolan senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to former international forward Bruno Fernando (208-98, college: Maryland, currently plays in NBA). Fernando led Atlanta Hawks to an easy victory against the Washington Wizards (17-31) 152-133 in the NBA last Sunday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 12 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Fernando's third season in pro basketball. The Atlanta Hawks have not so impressive 13-37 record this season. This year Fernando averages: 4.1ppg, 3.4rpg, 3FGP: 13.3% and FT: 61.5%. He played for the Angolan national team in 2016.

   #3. The Angolan player who performed third best last week abroad was former international power forward Antonio Monteiro (204-89, currently plays in Portugal). Monteiro led Imortal to a victory over the closely-ranked Belenenses CF (10-5) crushing them 76-54 in the Portuguese Proliga (second division) on Saturday night. He was MVP of the game. Monteiro had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 11 rebounds in 25 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Imortal BC Albufeira (17-0) is placed first in the Proliga. So far his team won all seventeen games in the Regular Season. This year Monteiro has relatively solid stats: 12.4ppg, 8.2rpg, 2.0apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 59.6%(65-109), 3FGP: 32.3% in 17 games. He has a dual citizenship: Angolan and Portuguese. Despite Monteiro played previously for the Portuguese U20 national team, he played also for the Angolan national team in 2014.

   #4. An experienced forward Jose Miguel (185-85, currently plays in Portugal) faced previously mentioned Antonio Monteiro in the Portuguese Proliga last game. Miguel. He could not help Belenenses CF (10-5) to beat Imortal (17-0). Miguel scored only 4 points in 10 minutes. Belenenses CF was crushed 76-54 on the road by the leading Imortal. They ended the series of four consecutive victories. This year Miguel's overall stats are: 3.1ppg and 1.7rpg in 14 games. He used to play for the Angolan university national team back in 2007.

   #1. Fabio Galiano (202-PF-97, currently plays in Germany) could not help Hertener Loewen (11-9) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Galiano's good performance the sixth-placed Hertener Loewen (11-9) was defeated 105-90 at home by the higher-ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (#3) in the West group. He scored 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. It's Galiano's first season with the team. Galiano's overall stats this year are: 5.3ppg and 3.7rpg.

   #2. Experienced Benedito Suca (196-F-84, currently plays in Portugal) was not able to help Academia (8-9) in their last game. Despite his good performance Academia was crushed 100-78 in a derby game by the higher-ranked (#4) Belenenses CF. Suca recorded 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 27 minutes. It's Suca's ninth season with the team. He has reliable stats this year: 10.9ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.2apg in 15 games he played so far.

   #3. Silvio Mateus (185-G-94, currently plays in Germany) managed to help SV Hagen-Haspe 70 to win against the 11th-ranked Grevenbroich (8-12) 90-86 in the German Regionalliga (fourth division) on Saturday night. Mateus scored only 2 points. SV Hagen-Haspe 70 (3-18) is placed 13th in West group. It was his team's first victory after fifteen consecutive loses. It's Mateus' first season with the team. His overall stats this year are: 6.9ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.0apg. Mateus has a dual citizenship: Angolan and French.
