Petro de Luanda took over the leadership of the National Basketball Championship Unitel Basket2019 on weekend, leaving behind 1 de Agosto (51 points), after beating Marinha de Guerra 79-68, in double round match (3rd and 4th) of the competition. To stay put, Petro de Luanda also defeated in the 4th round Desportivo Kwanza 119-54, allowing them to attain 52 points.

1 de Agosto - Interclube 87-84 1 de Agosto have won their 15th Cup title in Angola. In the Final game they overcame Interclube 87-84 even trailing at the halftime. The latter had a 47-44 lead, while Agosto managed to pull a 68-60 advantage after three quarters. Eduardo Mingas (200-F/C-79) top-scored for the winners with 24 points and Emmanuel Quezada (188-PG-85, college: USF) notched 18. AfroLeague2019: Final four set to happen in Luanda - 7 days ago
The final stage of the first edition of the Africa Basketball League (AfroLeague), now dubbed Final Four, will take place in May in Luanda, the vice chairman of the Angolan Basketball Federation (FAB), Benjamim Romano, has confirmed.
