Reggie Moore selected the top Angolan playing abroad in last week's games - May 21, 2018

We bring you last week's top performances from Angolans who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an experienced international power forward Reggie Moore (203-81, college: ORU, currently plays in Portugal). He could not help Galitos-Barreiro (17-16) in their last game. Despite Moore's very good performance the first-placed Galitos-Barreiro (17-16) was crushed 98-71 at home by the second-ranked Benfica in the Places 7-12 group. He was the second best scorer with 19 points in 30 minutes on the court. Moore has relatively good stats this year: 10.9ppg, 3.8rpg, 1.1apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 59.3%(35-59), 3FGP: 34.6% in 14 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Angolan and American. Moore is currently a member of the Angolan senior national team. He used to play for Recreativo's Libolo in Angolan league.

   #2. Second place goes to an international guard Carlos Morais (200-85, agency: Duran International, currently plays in Portugal) faced previously mentioned Reggie Moore in the Portuguese LPB last game. Morais contributed to an easy victory against the leader Galitos-Barreiro (17-16) crushing them 98-71. He scored 9 points and added 5 assists. This season Morais has relatively solid stats: 11.7ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.0apg, 2FGP: 48.0%, 3FGP: 41.8% and FT: 83.8%. He is another player who holds two passports: Angolan and Portuguese. Morais is in the roster of the Angolan senior national team.

   #3. The Angolan player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Joaquim Valdelicio (208-90, also represented by Duran International, college: Hawaii, currently plays in France). He was not able to help STB Le Havre in their game against Quimper UJAP (11-23) in the French ProB (second division). Valdelicio recorded 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 21 minutes. STB Le Havre lost 71-77 on the road to the higher-ranked (#15) Quimper UJAP. The Regular Season already ended. This year Valdelicio averages: 9.9ppg, 5.8rpg, 2FGP: 56.9%(87-153) and FT: 70.7% in 22 games. He is also a member of the Angolan senior national team.

Antonio Monteiro

   #4. Forward Antonio Monteiro (204-89, currently plays in Portugal) managed to help FC Porto to win against the sixth-ranked Illiabum (12-19) crushing them 101-57 in the Portuguese LPB in Friday night's game. Monteiro scored only 3 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. FC Porto (24-8) is placed third in Places 1-6 group. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Monteiro's overall stats this season are: 5.0ppg and 3.8rpg. He has both Angolan and Portuguese nationalities. Monteiro used to play for the Angolan national team back in 2014.

   #1. Experienced Sergio Correia (198-F-85, currently plays in Portugal) was the major contributor in Imortal's victory against the second-ranked Esgueira / Oli (19-9) crushing them 84-62 in the Portuguese Proliga (second division) last Saturday. He recorded 23 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals in 37 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-8. Imortal BC Albufeira (26-2) is placed first. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Correia has reliable stats this year: 14.0ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.6apg and 1.1spg in 25 games he played so far.
