Byron
Burnett
Randy Williams: How long have you been playing Basketball and what College did you attend in America?

Bayron Burnett: 10 years Actually.I went to Southern Union State Community College and Florida International University I'm what you call a late bloomer

RW: When you say late bloomer what is it do you mean?
What was your first experience of playing Basketball in the overseas market?

BB: Late Bloomers are players who started playing very late in their career's and as far age wise it means usually they will develop later on rather than when they initially started. Hard work pays off.My first experience overseas was Ecuador in June 2006 and my salary was $1,000

RW: I agree that hard work pays off. What places have you played since your first job in Ecuador in 2006?

BB: China, Romania, France, Mexico, Saudi Arabia,Canada (ABA), Spain, Angola

RW: You are playing in Africa now & how do you describe the play in Angola and the passion that the people of Africa have for Basketball?

BB: Well it's a different experience here, the game is a little bit more aggressive and hard nose, players are rough and the referees let you play through fouls unlike in Europe. The fans are very passionate about their teams in a very patriotic manner and have some similarity like in Europe with drums and fan sections

RW: You have played many places thus far, where is it would you like to play and why?

BB: I would have to say in the context of Overseas it would have to be Spain. I guess it's a balance between sound basketball and you can make a decent living wage. I would take good basketball for less money instead of making more money for bad basketball, I just enjoy playing and competing.

RW: When this season concludes for you what will your plans be?
Where was your best playing experience and why?

BB: My best playing experience was in Spain, in the Canary Islands. It was more of off the court getting through a full season in the Islands. We had a good team we went 21-9 in the season and failed to move up to LEB-Sliver. Despite that it was my best experience so far with teammates, coaches and organization. I will never forget that year.

RW: What are your plans after this season is over as far as Basketball goes?

BB: Well it would be the regular 2 weeks rest on my body and then a training plan with the vision of improving on all the aspects of game for next season.

RW: Is there anything else you would like the Basketball world to know about Byron Burnett?

BB: I would like for people to know the game of basketball has influenced my life significantly and I have meet a lot of people that shape my life and basketball will get me to the end game of life. I am an unselfish player on & off the court and an ultimate team player.

RW: If anyone would like to get in contact with you How can you be reached?

BB: I can be contacted at fiu3322@hotmail.com
Some footage of me playing can be seen on you tube as well.
