Recreativo do Libolo are crowned Bai Basket champions - May 20, 2014

Libolo clinched the Bai Basket title. They snatched a narrow 78:77 victory over their main rivals 1 De Agosto and took an insurmountable lead in the standings two rounds away from the season end.
1 De Agosto led throughout the bigger part of the game. They enjoyed a 28:19 lead after ten minutes. 1 De Agosto secured a 44:41 halftime advantage. They kept Libolo at bay throughout the third term. 1 De Agosto entered the fourth stanza up by 6 points 62:56. But Libolo turned things around in the final minutes. They pulled within striking distance and later capitalized on two turnovers from 1 De Agosto to snatch a decisive victory. Eric Coleman (200-C-85, agency: Hart Sports Mngm, college: N.Iowa) chipped in 20 points for Libolo. Eduardo Mingas (200-F/C-79) tossed in 14 points, while Olimpio Cipriano (194-F-82) had 13 points in the win. Felizardo Ambrosio (202-F-87) responded with 23 points for 1 De Agosto. Mario Correia (189-G-78, college: Bryant) and Reggie Moore (203-PF-81, college: ORU) had 16 points each in the loss.

Petro de Luanda clinch Angolan Cup title - Apr 21, 2014

Petro de Luanda added another trophy to their impressive basketball history. They overcame 1 De Agosto 88:82 in the second leg of the Cup Final to clinch the title. Roderick Nealy (198-PF-80, college: Houston Baptist) was unstoppable for Petro with 33 points. He nailed 31 points in the first leg when Petro celebrated a 96:89 victory.
1 De Agosto led by seven points at halftime 47:40. But Petro led by Roderick Nealy picked up the tempo in the second half and raced to the victory.
