Inter-Clube won the fifteenth edition of the Angolan SuperCup. They defeated the reigning champions 1 De Agosto for the trophy. The game that took place at the Pavilion of Benfica of Petroleo Lubango in Huila finished in favor of Inter-Clube 77:63. The teams kept it close in the opening frame. The scoreboard read 15:15 ten minutes into the encounter. Inter-Clube stepped on the gas early in the second frame. They surged ahead to a 13-point advantage. 1 De Agosto cut the distance to 9 points at halftime 33:42. The defending champions went on desperate rally in the third frame cutting the deficit. They got within 4 points with ten minutes to go in regulation. But Inter-Clube were ready for the challenge. They limited their opponents to just 10 points in the fourth term and eked out the victory at the end. Felizarda Jorge (172-F-85) was named the MVP after the game. She accounted for game-high 23 points to lead Inter-Clube. Astrida Vicente (174-F/G-78) answered with 15 points for 1 De Agosto. |
