USM Alger - Nadi Basket 57-60

Nadi Basket forced 24 USM Alger turnovers. 30 personal fouls committed by USM Alger helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Mohamed Bensalah (200-2002, college: Paul Quinn) scored 21 points to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Hichem Dekakene (190-1997) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Guard Ahmed Boutiba (188-1995) responded with 25 points and 7 rebounds and guard Redouane Mimouni (186-1987) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. USM Alger's coach Kamel Ait Kaci tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.

Widad players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Forward Kadour Mtidji (190-1998) notched 17 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and the former international point guard Tarek Hamdani (194-1995) supported him with 12 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. Even a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds by Chadian center Abakar Oumar (208-2002) did not help to save the game for Chabab Sportif. Mustapha Braik added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
