39-year old swingman Abdesslem Dekkiche (194-G/F-1986) had an amazing evening in the last round for Union Sportifs Medina Blida and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 26.
He had a double-double of 25 points and 15 rebounds, while his team edged out Widad (#2, 17-9) 72-71. USM Blida is placed at 5th position in Algerian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. USM Blida will need more victories to improve their 16-10 record. Dekkiche turned to be USM Blida's top player in his first season with the team. Abdesslem Dekkiche averages this season 15.3ppg and 7.0rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Mohamed Touati (215-C-1987) of Mouloudia Club of Algiers. He is international center in his first season at Mouloudia. In the last game Touati recorded an impressive double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Mouloudia lost that game 72-82 to the higher-ranked Chabab Sportif (#3, 17-9). This loss caused Mouloudia to drop to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 16-10 record is not bad and everything may still change. Touati is a newcomer at Mouloudia and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Demba Diakite of Moustakbal Ouled Chebel (#14). Diakite scored 17 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Moustakbal, leading his team to a 66-50 easy win against the higher-ranked CR Dar Beida (#10, 10-16). Moustakbal can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 4-22 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Diakite has individually a great season in Algeria. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.7rpg (3rd best).
