Algerian D1 round 18 best performance: Kadour Mtidji (by Hoops Agents)

Forward Kadour Mtidji (190-F-1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Widad Boufarik, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 27-year old player was the main contributor (31 points, eight rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Rouiba (#7, 10-8) with 21-point margin 88-67. Widad maintains the 3rd position in Algerian D1. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Widad will need more victories to improve their 13-6 record. In the team's last game Mtidji had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Widad, through which he has constantly improved. Kadour Mtidji has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 16.5ppg).

The second best player in last round's games was young international swingman Abdesslem Dekkiche (194-G/F-1986) of Union Sportifs Medina Blida. Dekkiche had a very good evening with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course USM Blida cruised to a 65-57 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Moustakbal (#14, 3-16). USM Blida's 8th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 10-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Dekkiche is a newcomer at USM Blida, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Farouk Hadjadj-Aoul of league's second-best Chabab Sportif Tlemcen. Hadjadj-Aoul showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Chabab Sportif, leading his team to a 61-51 win against the lower-ranked NA Hussein Dey (#13, 3-15). Chabab Sportif needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 13 victories and 5 lost games. Hadjadj-Aoul has a very solid season. In 16 games in Algeria he scored 6.5ppg.
